| 11,235 foot Mt. Hood is the only 12 month ski area in North America which is great for people who want to practice on their chops year-round. Mt. Hood weather is highly variable with mid-winter conditions likely at any time. Skiing at the 8,500 foot level is hazardous to the skin and eyes if not well protected. And all of that is before class has even started. As part of the snowboard training, students get video taped on the mountain each day they are there. Video is an essential tool that has helped all top athletes achieve success. MHSC analyzes video of each student’s training runs with the coach. They also watch videos of the World’s top snowboarders to help the student understand the techniques they will be learning, and how they should be doing them. At the end of this camp, any graduate should be able to rip a mountain to shreds. |
