| Blues is a genre of music with a stigma of being depressing. Why? Because it is, even to blues fans. So what would happen if you had an upscale blues bar for white-collard yuppies? Could they really handle that amount of depression without taking Prozac at the door? Could some of these happy-hour-going business men and women go as far as to “off” themselves after a long night of drinking apple martinis and listening to blues at The Blue Cat Blues Bar? If so, they would even have the re-entry stamps still on their hands (as if they were ever going back) as proof to the homicide detectives as to their whereabouts at 2:00 am the night before. Sadly enough, the bar died after a couple of years. Maybe there weren’t enough repeat visits? Hmm. |
